Our Story


 Harvest Bistro, a high-quality restaurant, and caterer in beautiful Madison, NJ, is known for its eclectic menu, inspired cuisine, and flavorful food.

Originally known as On A Roll, Harvest Bistro started a new chapter for the owner, Tushar Patel, who developed his passion for food at a young age from his family that emphasized authentic home-style cooking. Today, with the help of his staff, Tushar provides a fresh gourmet menu that celebrates flavors from his travels around the world.

After shedding his previous On A Roll brand, Tushar redesigned his menu and restaurant to reflect the creative cuisine that inspires him. Harvest Bistro is not only a place to pick up a satisfying lunch because they are now open for dinner Thursday through Saturday from 5:30 pm – 9:30 pm. In addition, with each catered event, whether private or corporate, on-site or off-site, the superior standard and quality is undeniable and will be an experience you are sure to enjoy.

Tushar hopes to extend his love for food through every dish, whether it’s a quick lunch or elegantly catered affair. No event is too large or small but is instead an opportunity to share his passion for creating quality cuisine.

From On A Roll to Harvest Bistro


Tushar owned On A Roll, a gourmet deli, and caterer for 21 years before deciding to rebrand his business entirely. For 21 years Tushar worked to build a legacy he was proud of, despite some rough moments both personally and professionally. Knowing he was capable of more, Tushar decided it was time to put his inspiration and passion to work in celebration to all he has learned and is blessed with.

On November 27, 2017, Tushar officially opened as Harvest Bistro in symbolic reference to a small restaurant responding to the season of life he feels he has finally stepped into both personally and professionally. His main objective is to give back to the community he has served for 21 years and show his appreciation through his ethnically rich cuisine, and hospitable service. He hopes that in this next chapter he can bring people together through food and friendship. He wishes you would take this journey with him and help him to create lasting experiences and memories.
